2. Hosting and delivery through Vercel
FleetSift is hosted and delivered through Vercel. To serve pages securely and reliably, technical request information can be processed, including IP and network information, requested URL, timestamp, browser or device information, response status and security or diagnostic data.
To the extent this information is personal data, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interests are secure website delivery, abuse prevention, availability, debugging and technical operation. Vercel acts under its applicable service terms and data-processing framework; categories of technical service providers can receive data where necessary to deliver the service.
3. Vercel Web Analytics
FleetSift uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement. Vercel documents Web Analytics as cookie-free. It does not use cross-site personal identifiers; visitors are distinguished using a hash derived from the incoming request, and Vercel states that the visitor session identifier is discarded after 24 hours. Data points can include page path, referrer, filtered query parameters, approximate location, browser, operating system and device type. FleetSift may also record first-party custom events such as completing the software matcher or clicking an outbound vendor/source link. Event properties are limited to non-identifying research context such as vendor name, link location, fleet-size band or selected buying priority. FleetSift does not send names, email addresses or account identifiers to Web Analytics because the current site has no account system or lead form.
To the extent analytics processing falls within the GDPR, FleetSift relies on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for the legitimate interest of understanding aggregate use and improving useful content and navigation.
4. Vercel Speed Insights
FleetSift uses Vercel Speed Insights to measure real-user performance such as Core Web Vitals. Vercel documents Speed Insights data points as anonymous and not associated with an individual visitor or IP address. Data can include the route or URL, network speed, browser, device type, operating system, country and Web Vitals. FleetSift uses these measurements to diagnose and improve page speed and usability, not for advertising or behavioral profiling.
To the extent the metrics are personal data, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for the legitimate interest of maintaining a fast, reliable website.
5. Cookies and device storage
FleetSift's current application code does not set advertising cookies, remarketing pixels or non-essential local-storage identifiers. Vercel documents Web Analytics as cookie-free, while Speed Insights uses native browser APIs to collect anonymous performance measurements.
If FleetSift introduces technology that stores information on, or accesses information from, an end user's device in a way that requires consent under § 25 TDDDG or other applicable law, that technology will remain disabled until the required consent mechanism is in place.
6. Matcher
The software matcher runs in the browser. Its answers are held in page state for the session needed to calculate a shortlist; FleetSift does not save matcher responses to a user account, database or CRM. Where custom events are enabled, matcher completion can be recorded with non-identifying fields such as fleet-size band, operating model, selected priority and the top research match.
7. External vendor and source links
Research pages link to vendor websites and first-party source documents. When you follow an external link, the destination provider receives the request and applies its own privacy policy. FleetSift uses a strict-origin-when-cross-origin referrer policy, which limits cross-origin referrer information to the site origin.
8. Affiliate and referral links
Current vendor links remain neutral unless a page explicitly labels a commercial relationship. If tracked partner links are introduced, the relevant disclosure and this privacy policy will be updated as needed before activation. FleetSift does not currently use its own cross-site advertising profile or sell visitor personal information.
9. International data transfers
Vercel is a U.S.-based service provider and data can be processed in the United States or other locations. Vercel states that it participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and uses the 2021 EU Standard Contractual Clauses or other appropriate safeguards where required. Vercel's current Data Processing Addendum describes its cross-border transfer mechanisms and security measures.
10. Retention
Technical and diagnostic information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for website delivery, security, troubleshooting and applicable legal obligations, subject to the configured Vercel service and plan. Vercel states that the Web Analytics visitor-session identifier is discarded after 24 hours; aggregate statistics can remain available for reporting.
11. Your rights
Where the GDPR applies, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, subject to the statutory requirements. Where processing relies on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object under Article 21 GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority. For the controller's establishment in Hannover, the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen is the relevant state supervisory authority. Depending on where you live, additional U.S. state or other privacy rights may also apply.
12. Automated decision-making
The FleetSift matcher produces a software-research shortlist. It does not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on individuals and is not intended as automated decision-making under Article 22 GDPR.
